Jon Hanson posted a twitter thread responding to Ian Millhiser’s thread advising law students to:
“Bust your fucking ass. Do all the reading, plus the hornbook. Get on law review. Credential the fuck out of yourself.”
Hanson’s thread highlights several of the ways he considers that advice “wrongheaded (& sad) as general advice” and calls for law students to
“Consider using your legal education to learn not only the law, but also the law’s role in producing and “legitimating” immeasurable injustices on behalf of the powerful. Consider whether it may be in your individual interest to start prioritizing collective interests.”
